Not all's well between the Band Baaja Baaraat couple. Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma got along famously well during the shooting of the film which was a huge success. But post its release things began to change.

Anushka and Ranveer never confirmed to dating each other, but friends close to them could see that love was in the air. Post the release of BBB, however, when Ranveer got busy, Anushka wasn't too happy seeing him spend time with other female co-workers.

Ranveer, who is to perform at an awards function soon, will be seen dancing with three television beauties - Ragini, Ankita Lokhande and Rashmi Desai. While rehearsing, the actor, it is heard, got a call from Anushka who was worried that he was spending too much time with Ragini.

It's all thanks to Anushka's possessive nature that the couple has called it quits. Friends close to the two actors inform us that things are looking up for both Ranveer and Anushka professionally, so relationships can wait their turn. Right now, it's only lights, camera and action for the two. And cupid's arrow, it seems, is void of magic for the time being as far as Ranveer and Anushka are concerned.

Synopsis

The winning team of Band Baaja Baaraat is back.

After the heartwarming success of Band Baaja Baaraat, director Maneesh Sharma is back with his team, in Yash Raj Films' next offering. Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl.

Starring Ranveer Singh, who has won everyone's heart with his endearing and scintillating performance, as well as the Best Actor (Debut) at all the award shows this year, and the accomplished and charismatic Anushka Sharma, the film is produced by Aditya Chopra and is based on a story developed by him. Habib Faisal has written the dialogues, the screenplay is by Devika Bhagat. The music will be composed by Salim-Sulaiman, lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the film will be shot by Aseem Mishra (DOP), all of whom have been a part of Band Baaja Baaraat .

Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl is a fun-filled rom-com where a smooth and charming conman, Ricky Bahl, cons girls for a living but finally meets his match.

The film starts shooting early-April with plans to be in theatres worldwide on 9th Dec 2011, the same weekend Band Baaja Baaraat released.

Anushka Sharma has come a long way! After graduating from Mount Carmel College with an arts degree, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a modeling career.She soon made her Bollywood debut in 2008 as Tania "Taani Partner" Gupta in the Aditya Chopra directed movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi starring Shahrukh Khan and Vinay Pathak. And now she's on the cover of Filmfare magazine as part of the promoting for her latest flick, Patiala House with Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. Akshay portrays Parghat Singh Kahlon, a man who runs a corner shop in Southall, London, but dreams of playing cricket.
His dad, Gurtej Singh Kahlon played by Rishi Kapoor, is busy running the family and wants to make sure no one loses any of their traditional Indian culture. However, Parghat wants to play cricket for England and when he gets a chance to do so, the father/son drama sets in for real.

Anushka Sharma main Role In Band Baaja Baraat

Anushka sharma played a simple girl next door in RAB NE BANA DI JODI. Then she got into an altogether different zone by becoming Ms. Smart in BADMAASH COMPANY. Now in her upcoming release BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, she has completely transformed her personality by turning into someone who is just not polished enough to make a style statement.

“That’s right, I couldn’t have afforded to be a proper girl here”, she smiles, “She is just not polished enough and the way she speaks English is also not proper.

She is so ‘alhad’ that she didn’t even hold back chewing or coughing while she was talking. This character is someone who didn’t care about the way she walked, looked or behaved.”

Due to the Delhi setting of the film, there is a certain dialogue delivery which one can see is pretty much standing out in this Yash Raj production. One can well believe that Anushka must have prepared for that considering the fact that contrary to popular perception, she is neither a Delhi girl nor a Punjabi in real life

“Thank you so much of pointing this out, otherwise I would have been forever tagged as a Punjabi”, laughs Anushka, “See, I was lucky that both the director as well as the writer are from Delhi. There is a lot of Delhi in the script and I had to learn the gestures and the dialogues. I had to learn to speak in a particular way. I had to cut out the pauses and go on and on. There is an altogether different manner in which people speak in Bangalore (from where she comes), Mumbai (where she works now) and Delhi (where the film is set). I had to study those nuances well and deliver.”
