Priyanka to play Ranbir Kapoor’s gal

People heaped praise on Priyanka Chopra for her sterling performance in 7 Khoon Maaf as a victimized woman who kills her husbands. Now, the talented actress will prepare for a very challenging role of a mentally-challenged heroine to the deaf-and-dumb Ranbir Kapoor. And see who’s helping her out in preparing for the role? It’s Shah Rukh Khan, her favourite co-star of Don and Don 2. Priyanka plays a mentally challenged girl in Anurag Basu's thriller Barfee and she has to undergo training to prepare for the role. As Shahrukh effortlessly played a man with Asperger's Syndrome in My Name Is Khan, who else better than him to help her out!

Naturally, Priyanka is excited and tells a tabloid, “If the character comes out right I'll have a lot to thank him for. I consider SRK one of the finest actors in world. To be able to spend so much time with him both on and off camera is a blessing.”

Priyanka will train for almost a month for the role and has already begun visiting schools and institutions for the mentally challenged.

Priyanka's sister to enter Bollywood

Priyanka Chopra's first cousin, Parineeti Chopra couldn't have asked for more. She has been signed in Yash Raj Films' next LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL, to be directed by BAND BAAJA BAARAAT fame Maneesh Sharma. Parineeti has been a part of the marketing team of Yash Raj Films.

Priyanka is ecstatic with the news. "Yes, Parineeti Chopra is my sister. This is the first time Yash Raj Films has launched someone in such a way. I am very happy YRF has signed her. She is a part of YRF's marketing department. In fact, she had worked on my own film PYAAR IMPOSSIBLE. I think it was one of her first films." Being one of the leading actress, does Priyanka have any tips for the newcomer? "I think I will call her and do that," says Priyanka with a wry smile.

Parineeti will be one of the "ladies" who falls prey to the smooth talking guile of Ricky Bahl. LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL stars Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. The shooting starts early-April and plans to be in theatres on 9th Dec 2011, the same weekend BAND BAAJA BAARAAT released.

Priyanka back in ‘Krissh 3’

The entire buzz about Krissh 3 was right, the movie will roll early next year and Priyanka Chopra will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan once again. Though there were rumours that the actress is not being considered for the sequel, reports are on that Priyanka is finalized for the film. She will continue her character of a reporter as the movie will take forward the story where Krissh left. Roshans were toying with the idea of Krissh sequel for the last four years but nothing concrete happened. Now, as they have moved on from the debacle of Kites, making Krissh 3 is prime on their plans.

Coming to Priyanka, the actress has some big films lined up for next year: she has Saat Khoon Maaf with seven male co-stars, Don 2 with Shahrukh Khan, and also Anurag Basu’s romantic thriller Barfee (earlier titled Silence) with Ranbir Kapoor.
